Talimena Scenic Byway
My wife and I were visiting her family in Tulsa. I flew my youngest son up from San Antonio to join me in this adventure. We managed to visit all six potential highpoints and am guessing based on just a visual observation (the trees had lost their leaves) that points #3 and #4 appeared to be highest. Not very scientific though. It does remind one of the Smoky's.
Great drive, hard to believe we were taking this particular scenic drive in Oklahoma.

I am amazed at how many people in Oklahoma do not know about this area of the state. It is truly beautiful and a wonderful place to go in the spring and fall. Been on the Talimena byway many times. If I am not mistaken there are several peaks in that area around 2500 ft high. when you consider the surounding valleys are only about 500 ft above sea leave these mountains look pretty high!

Traversed All Six Summits
Visited all 6 potential candidates for the Oklahoma summit of Rich Mountain on a hot and humid day.
