Roan High Bluff Overlook in Clouds

Just as my friend and I got to the overlook at the end of the Roan High Bluff trail, a huge cloud enveloped the mountain, dropping visibility down to a few dozen feet. I looked out from the bluff and saw nothing but a white void... which freaked me out far more than a walled-in overlook had any right to do. These trees (somewhat krummholtz-ed?), to the west of the overlook reminded me of Mt. Mansfield in Vermont, which I hiked on an equally cloudy day last summer.
