Hiked with my brother John. Went up from Aspen Grove and had almost the whole mountain to ourselves. There were a few easy little snow crossings, and the dozen or so waterfalls we saw going up Primrose Cirque were great. Saw several mountain goats as well as a big marmot. Splendid views from the southwest ridge of the rest of the Timpanogos massif.

Roberts horn
Not a very difficult peak especially when you start from emerald lake, but the views from the top were amazing. You could see the whole cirque. Its pretty straight forward on the way up, there are a few pretty good social trials and thats what we stuck too.

Robert's and Timp
Got a bit of a late start on this first day of daylight savings, so I was pushing my daylight window a bit on this cold November day. I started at the Timpooneke TH following the trail towards Emerald Lake before branching off heading up the ridge to Roberts Horn. Great centrally located peak for some fantastic views. After hiking down the ridge from Roberts Horn I went up the snowy, rocky couloir between the south summit of Timp and Timp to the glacier saddle. From there I hustled up and over Timp and down the trail back to my truck just as it was getting dark.
with Paul, Steve hike organized by Barb. Great views in every direction with cool jagged ridgeline!

Good day
Started from the summit th of the alpine loop and went up the ridge from horse flat. Summitted Roberts horn, then went down to emerald lake, up the glacier chute to the saddle, summitted south timp, then across to the actual timp summit, down timpanookee and back through salamander up to my car. Great 16 mile, 6.5 hour day.

Bonus Summit
I had a few extra minutes after visiting South Timp and the main summit so I swung by Roberts Horn. Well worth the detour.

Aspen Grove
Climbed with the Wasatch Mountain Club. We climbed to the summit ridge from the Emerald Lake shelter and enjoyed a fun scramble to the summit! A couple of inches of early season snow up high! Fall colors were awesome on the lower slopes!
#1 7-16-13 Nifty little variation when the main summit becomes hum-drum. Fantastic views of East Peak, the Shoulder, Razorback Ridge, 2nd summit and the Main Summit, then north to Bomber Peak and North Timp. With Brent. Fun scrambling up the west ridge. #2 7-20-13 Reprise of last one meeting Ethan at the Timp Basin saddle! Beautiful wildflowers mityz along the way.
Via Timp divide, down Timponeke via the bomber, crisp sunny October day with a bit of new snow on the ground, memories fade....

Nice hike
Started at the Aspen Grove TH. First climbed East Peak (10791), then went over to Roberts Horn, then on to Timp, then to South Timp (11722), back over Timp and back to TH. Perfect fall day.
Great way to find a little solitude, probably only about 1% of the Timp climbers make their way over here! It was a nice add-on on the way back down from Timp.

Fun, short hike
Was waiting at the Emerald Lake shelter for some other folks in my party to descend Timp. Decided to give this one a try. Glad I did as I ran into a herd of mountain goats on the NW aspect. Took an incorrect way down and ended up in some steep scree slopes
