Sacred terrace near the top

Near the top of Huayna Picchu was this ancient viewpoint terrace with some significant monuments, probably mimicking the mountains they face. Beyond can be seen the Hiram Bingham bus road with all its switchbacks and the birds-eye view of the main ruins of Machu Picchu.
