Sad state of rappel anchor slings

Something up there chews on the rappel anchor slings! The red sling had been removed and set aside by someone else. The black sling was in place and was chewed almost all the way through. Go prepared to replace the rappel anchor and even if it looks new - inspect it very carefully before using it. Photo by Fred Spicker, 3 September 2009
