Above The Clouds
Hiked with my Dad and John. Although pretty congested with other hikers, it was a great achievement. No views, due to the cloud cover.

Snow Creek
Beautifull day of climbing via Snow Creek with Miguel and Jon. We day hiked it and I made it to the summit in just under 12 hours. Lots of tracks due to the rescue up there the day before. It's hard to believe there is such an unbelievable alpine climb so close to home. I will definatly be doing this climb again.

awesome view
Went up the ridge between cornell and miller, hit miller then went on to san jac. It was a brutal hike and it was HOT! but it was worth it. Snow was mush so it was hard hiking/snowshoeing but glissaded down from the top and it was pretty sweet :)

Humber Park and Fuller Ridge
I have reached the summit twice to date, once in 1970 from Humber Park and the second time along Fuller Ridge. The later route is extremely nice traversing along the ridge with views of Coachella Valley.
When the snow clears, goal is the summit from Palm springs via the skyline trail.

San Jacinto Peak
Hiked from the museum parking lot up to 4,000 ft elevation. How many places around here can you climb 3,500+ vertical feet and only be one-third of the way to the summit?

Off the list...
From the tram on a cloudy day. Lots of Boy Scouts on trail. Great feeling being on top, too bad the clouds spoiled the view.

Icy!
Went up from the Marion Mtn TH. Big mistake leaving the crampons in the car as the trail was very icy above '8600 or so. Overall another great day on SJ.

100 degrees on the desert floor snow at 10,000 feet! This mountain is a fun hike from the top of the tram. Talk bout some serious prominence!

Deer Springs Trail
Went up the Deer Spring trail and actually saw some deer. Did the Strawberry Trail loop on the way back for 19.5 miles so. One of the best maintained trails in So Cal and great scenery the whole way. 5000 ft. up and down never felt so easy. Ran into Tattoo Joe Kisner who is the record holder for the PCT.

Started a bit before 6, suffered more than I ever had before, thankfully found a ride from the bottom of the tram to Ramon St. with some nice woman. The heat is killer!

A two day trip
A pretty bad storm moved in on the second day. It was a nice trip, from the hot desert below, to a snowstorm on the top. Started at Snow Creek and finished at the tram.
