Hit every highpoint along the ridge on the way to San Joaquin.

Standard route
Drove the Element to the end and hiked the trail with Tommey as a rest day during the Sierra Challenge. Two Teats was extra credit. Turned out to be my last day after finding out that I needed to head home.

Climb to Ski
Well I didn't make it to San Joaquin, but I survived so that is success to me. Turn-around point was peak just southeast of Two Teats. My altimeter said 10,800'. It was a beautiful day to solo ski tour somewhere I had never been. Snow conditions were less than desirable due to very hard breakable crust and "waves." I enjoyed the skin, hike, climb, ski and fall immensely.

Excellent Backcountry Ski Tour
Skied to Minaret Summit and then skied up San Joaquin Ridge. Excellent weather and great snow.

Hiked from Minaret Vista
Hiked from Minaret Vista to Deadman Summit and then took the use trail to Two Teats and San Joaquin Mountain. Had champagne with a Sierra Club group on the return! Nice little buzz for the final leg back to Minaret Vista.

Drive up
Drove up the 4x4 road in the morning after watching sunrise from Minaret Vista, then did the sandy slog over to San Joaquin Mountain. Great views from the ridge.
