Beautiful! Summit to TH in under 46 minutes (S. Ridge Route)
https://www.strava.com/activities/7469866964
Really enjoyed this mountain! The drive from Creede was amazing as well. Amber’s 1st CO 14er and she handled the altitude better than almost anyone I’ve ever seen. She said we'd only stay on the summit for "a few minutes" and then before she knew it, 40 minutes had gone by.
Woke up with only a few hours of sleep still feeling sick (will this ever end!?) with a hoarse throat, feeling hot, and high heart rate which continued during the run, but seemed to get better once we got high (super weird I know).
I hit the descent pretty quick but under control to make sure not to toast the bottoms of my feet and was happy they held up :) Was also really pleased clocking miles off the summit at 7:55, 6:13, 7:20, 7:30 (start of the re-climb). Had a blast!

South Ridge
Hike the South Ridge. Beautiful area without too many people. Very unique view of several ranges from the summit. Loved it!
We were the only party on the entire route on the summit that day. Saw moose cow and calf on first uphill section of South Ridge route. I agree with the sentiment that this peak is underrated. Beautiful area and an enjoyable outing.
Started from the Stewart Creek TH around 4:20 in the morning. Quick progress up to treeline and a relatively easy hike all the way. Winds picked up just a little bit along the ridge, but never too bad. Beautiful day on the summit with no scary clouds or anything. Easy jaunt on down to the truck. Gosh, beautiful peaks up there. Can't wait to come back and get Stewart, Phoenix, and Organ. Let's go!
Started from the Stewart Creek TH around 4:20 in the morning. It was a beautiful day with perfect summer conditions. Views all around were great although there was a bit of haze toward the Sangres. Made it back down just after 11:00.

Solo Overnight
Hiked partway in from Stewart Creek TH and camped overnight. Hit the trail early in the dark and made first summit of the day before 0800. A wonderful hike and nice views of the San Juans to the west. Lots of wildlife.
An 9-hour roundtrip summit. Class-1 & gorgeous fall colors ...so definitely want to bring your girlfriend!! Creede's south approach TH is the best kept secret compared to the alternative 25miles of dirt road! From the quaint town of Creede it's only an 8-mile scenic 2WD mining road that's in remarkable condition. Gentle 11mile roundtrip trek. No snow.

Summit via South Ridge
Nice day with leisurely start around 9:06 AM from West Willow TH. Clouds burned off, although a few flurries of snow on way down. Sat on summit for approx. 1 hour to enjoy views and work. Total hike time with break at top and leisurely descent was 7 hours 18 min. Nice wildflowers at this time. Hiked with M.Roth.

Recommend the approach from the town of Creede and taking the South Ridge route. I ran into Justin Simoni during his trek to do the highest 100 human powered so now I have a personal reason to beat him one day. Lets get it baby!
With Rachael. Third time up, her first. Went over after Organ by dropping off Organ's norhside and contouring high to pick up the SL Trail. Decided this was a good way to avoid loose route and route finding on Organ's west side.
Standard route, and traversed over a few 13ers on the return trip.

One of the prettiest colorado climbs I've done so far. Very lush and green tundra. All above treelike on the Colorado trail and up the S. ridge. FLowers in full bloom.
