From the false summit, just stay on top of the ridge the entire way. There's one slightly airy move that feels worse going over to the true summit than coming back. There's no need to drop down off the ridge crest, it's more work than necessary. Nice views, fun short scramble. Bagged Dock Butte afterwards.

Have climbed multiple times, both in winter and spring. This was one of Dallas Kloke's favorite winter climbs; easy access and as challenging as you want.

Trail
Fun to traverse the false summits. Don't kick rocks on your car from the top!
Sauk, beautiful wildflowers - if you go for that sort of thing. Ah, to be back in the Cascades.

Nice!!!
I really enjoyed this one for its easy effort, short scramble at the end vs. big open, alpine views.
Its a beautiful area and if someone had some extra time on their hand it looked like it would be interesting to explore Sauk Lake and Bald Mountain.

Sauk
This is a great quick hike. I was able to tuck this in even in mid-November with just a dusting of snow on a clear and cool autumn day. It is harder to find a higher views to effort ratio in the Cascades than what this one offers.

Surprise Scramble at the end
The true summit! This goes from a relaxing dayhike to a short but intense Class 3 scramble at the very end.

Up with Kids
To top with my wife and three kids (13,13 and 6 years old). Not to true summit, however. Incredible wildflowers in August.
