Thanks for the compliment, I always put a lot of effort into my pages and it's nice to hear that others appreciate it. I think the route I describe is the best route up Lone Peak, and fortunately it one of the least commonly used to.
Thanks, Vanman. Years ago you could drive all the way to the First Hamengog. Then Patterson Development put their gates across the dirt road after a couple switchbacks and you had to park half way up. Later still, Orem city won a legal battle over rights to the spring and put up the gate that keeps your car on pavement today. I used to bemoan these closures, but now I think they were blessings. You SHOULD have to work for Lone Peak.
