Popped off of the access road on the way to Desolation to bag Scott. Perhaps one of the more dramatic peaks on the ridge between Guardsman and Desolation.
Climbed this 2nd peak on my mt bike ride from the Crest trail.

Group hike
In 2015 for our family reunion, I got asked to plan a hike for those attendees willing to go on a hike. That reunion was held in Park City and I proposed we do a mid-day hike of Scott Hill along a portion of the Great Western Trail, a.k.a. a portion of the Wasatch Crest Trail. Rather than starting at Guardsman Pass, we drove down the Brighton side of the pass and started at a trail-head located on a sharp hairpin turn. This hike had 50 participants from just some of my siblings, some of our respective spouses and some of our immediate children (with 2 in-law children in the group & one foster child). The youngest participant, Levi, was less than a year old and the oldest participant was 54. There were 50 people in our group and everyone made it at least up to the ridge saddle and 37 of us made it to the summit of Scott Hill. Three of us continued on to bag Silver Benchmark and Murdock Peak, while the other 47 returned to the trail-head where we had parked our vehicles along Guardsman Pass Road. Participants included:
Barton, Joanne, Kevin, Madeline & Isaac Foutz;
Tracy, Lori, Lance & Jessica, Travis, Jackie & Tori Foutz;
Eric, Nathan & Ben Foutz;
Randy, Joan, Craig, Joe, Melissa & Emma Mackay;
Spencer & Rachel Gubler;
Harold, Susan, Jacob, Jessica & Katelyn Foutz & foster-child Bentley;
Michael, Ian & Tim Eschenberg;
Guy, Conner, Summer & Audrey Foutz;
Russ, Mariam, Max, Seth, Lacey, Abe, Ellie, Ely & Levi Gubler;
Jeff, Laura, Jonah, Lilly & Zella Archibald.

Easy Hike
Drove up guardsman pass after work to spend a little time at higher altitudes. I walked straight up the hill to the top of Tri-County Peak. It took only a few minutes. I then followed the ridge to Scott Hill and back. The cool wind was nice and the views were great. Not too bad when your car does most of the work.

Fun short hike!
What a fun short hike. Was on Snowshoes most of the way and was done in under 3 hours. and this is one peak closer to my goal of getting over 10K in every month of the year. All I have left now is October and I've done it!

On my list
Left my wife at the car while I hiked from the switchback where many cars were parked. This was a great hike and the views were superb in all directions. Met lots of mountain bikers on the road with a few walking their bikes up the last grade from Scott Pass.

Snow & wind
This is my 5th or 6th time on this landmark. Accompanied this time by JP Lewis. We almost always bag this little peak as part of a "Brighton Bowl Run" which we begin in Bear Trap fork and which includes Desolation Peak, Silver Peak, 10009, Guardsman Peak, 10420, Mt. Majestic, and more if time permits. #7 1-3-12 Solo. Desolation, Silver and then this one before reversing for the return to Bear Trap Fork TH on BCC road. Strong westerly winds here today. #8 1-11-14 From Guardsman winter TH, 10420 first then Guardsman Peak and over to Scott Hill. Strong SW winds, otherwise bluebird day. Unbeatable company.
