Thanks a lot Silvia, appreciate your kind words - and I agree, he is a great companion - it is a shame he can't go to the mountains anymore. best wishes, Mark
Thanks Scott - agreed they are - don't know what we will do when he passes on! bw Mark
PS Sorry for delay in responding - just come back from 2 weeks in the Alps
Thanks for that - have to say though, he is responding to medication quite well - and still enjoys getting out in the woods near where we live, even if he can't climb mountains any more.

Thanks Alberto - sorry for the delay in replying - just got back from 2 great weeks not that far away from your part of the world (crossed into Italy from Switzerland and climbed Castor and Polluce from an Italian bivvy at 3700m).
Now, there is a challenge for you - you should write something for SP about your Siberian Huskies!

JakeGreat involvement with Jake. Reminds me of my own ventures with Emma and Rusty. Both Golden Retrievers. Both perfect companions.

Nice storyAlways great to share our adventures with our pups. And also hard to see them get to the age where they have to stay home. Thank you for sharing.
