Stretch your legs
Have hiked the trail from the visitor center to the summit many times. A bit tough for a dog during the heat of summer but otherwise a great break on a road trip.

Hiking in the Bluff
Great day hiking in the Bluff! Hiked South Bluff and then Scotts Bluff. Beautiful scenery as it has been a very wet spring.

Saddle Rock Trail
Roughly forty minutes up the paved path. I enjoyed the tunnel as well as the northern and western overlooks.

Twice
Hiked the Saddle Rock Trail twice since moving to the area. There is a cell phone tour available about the history and geology of the monument. Beautiful views from the top.
There's a lot to see in this little corner of the plains.

Saddle Rock Trail
I took the saddle rock trail to the top, while it was a little too hazy and cloudy for the views, the bluff was still a neat historic place to visit.

LOONG time ago...
I did this short hike several times as a kid. I never thought this would be a summit post to sign until I saw it on another person's profile! I haven't been there in my adult life, though I'd love to someday.

Saddle Rock Trail
Windy, but a nice run after work while rotating up from Denver. Just don't tell anyone I left early!

A Great Day for Friends
It was three hours of fun for Jeff, Janie, Hope & Tom sightseeing, hiking, and taking photos. Despite being November, the temps were very mild. The Saddle Rock Trail is clearly marked and well-maintained. The view from the top is great! There is also a great visitors center at the trailhead.

From summit parking lot
This was my second time up here. My wife has never been here so we decided to stop on our way home. Temperatures were very comfortable in the 70's. Strange for November in Nebraska.

Saddle Rock Trail
Great view from this historic butte on the Oregon Trail. If your travels take you within 50 miles of this area, it is worth the stop and short hike to the summit.

Western Nebraska
I actually like western Nebraska quite a bit. There are a lot of interesting little things to see and do.

I have hiked, biked and run up to the summit and I love it every time - great place to do hill intervals
