the photo is taken from the summit of Sass dla Luesa, a tower above Passo Gardena. There is a famous route of G.B. Vinatzer, the man who always climbed straight with very few pegs (dopo qualche anno ha smesso...e infatti è morto nel suo letto).
This walls are NNW oriented, cold walls that take little sun! Ma si sa ormai non ci sono più i freddi di una volta...
