Was trying to climb the original wedge route but got distracted by a waterfall near the peak's western edge and decided to pioneer a new route.... which turned out to be a thrilling scramble/climb... great views and simply wonderful to return to my favourite place on earth.

A long day trip driving, canoeing and climbing... it was great. Spending about an hour on the summit to eat and meditate was just as rewarding as seeing all the wildlife - beavers, white-tailed deer, and a baby bear.

I summitted this beautiful peak the day after a tropical storm passed through. it was cool and blustery... but not climbing it earlier in the summer had been buggin' me so I returned with my girlfriend for a long daytrip and had a hauntingly beautiful trip to magnificent Killarn'. A great peak with some truly majestic views.
On the day spotted beaver, deer and a lone black bear that scuttled off into the woods when it noticed us paddling up to the shore. God I love this place!

Route Climbed: Western Wall Date Climbed: May 15 2004A great climb ... through the forest, past a great waterfall and up rock faces. It was nice to do this hike with Tim, and my cousins Leeann & Aaron.
