Seven Gables from Vee Lake

Seven Gables from Vee Lake

...mouse click to enlarge... Exposed this 4x5 sheet of Provia 100F through my 150mm Nikkor lens this July of 2007 one early morning at Vee Lake with Seven Gables reflecting in its waters. On the grassy near shore are magenta hued Lemmon's paintbrush and yellow hued alpine goldenrod. A good subject for view camera tilt so the transparency looks quite sharp top to bottom. I was having trouble getting calm water for a good reflection mainly because of all the little golden trout excitedly sucking down gnats on the surface. So before shooting would run around the shore waving my arms and yelling a bit which would cause them to swim to deeper water before returning to my camera to wait for things to calm down. But by time calm returned after a minute so did they haha. In the end I gave up and just took a shot despite the little buggers. David Senesac Photography http://www.davidsenesac.com
