Re: Wow too ..

Yep, Edwin Moses really knew how to leap over
the high hurdles ..

"Initially, Moses competed mostly in the 120-yard hurdles and 440-yard dash. Before March 1976, he ran only one 400-meter hurdles race, but once he began focusing on the event he made remarkable progress. His trademark technique was to take 13 steps." between all the hurdles (or even 12 between some hurdles), pulling away in the second half of the race as his rivals changed stride pattern. That summer, he qualified for the US team for the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal. Though it was his first international meet, Moses won the gold medal and set a world record of 47.63 seconds."

I have never seen

This in real life, well done on capturing something that I have not seen. This is a very rare thing to see.

Re: I have never seen

Thanks Josh. I live on a hillside 300' above the bay so I am party to lots of weather moods. Was on my way out the door when I spotted this view from the deck.

I'm thinking...

...Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind. It seems like Richard Dreyfuss should be lurking in the photo somewhere. :P Great shot!!

Call 911!!

If I'd have seen that from my deck, I'd have been on the horn to the authorities right away quick. They're here! Apocalypse Now!
Your photos are out of this world in more ways than one!

Re: Call 911!!

Thanks Larry!
Living on hillside elevation with unobstructed views across the north bay for over 10 years allowed me to observe and capture many dramatic and extraordinary weather patterns in that span of time.

Re: Call 911!!

No doubt. I live at the 300 foot elevation point here in Oakland with a terrific view of Interstate 580 where it merges with Highway 13. I'd be just tickled pink if I was into concrete, cars, and sporadic gunfire but sadly I'm not. You were definitely in the better place!
