Nice shotWe must have passed you somewhere on the mountain.
We came down about 2pm to Helen Lake and then descended to our camp at 50-50. Perhaps you were one of those about 200 that we saw heading up towards Helen. Did you see that couple with the toddler? I couldn't believe that anyone would do that type of stunt. We could hear that kid crying for quite a while.
congrat's on climbing it on a superb day.

Re: Nice shotThanks Dean. We didn't leave the TH until 2:30 PM. I was looking at everyone coming down even, even called out you name to a couple of guys who looked like you.........yes there are a few other beautiful people out there ;-)
We almost set up our tent next to that toddler, but found a better spot in a quieter spot. Saw him and his dad just below the Heart . His dad was holding his hand as they moved up, I didn't think they made crampons that small! He didn't summit, Shelby saw him back in camp, happy to be playing in the snow.
She thought he was about 4 or 5.

Re: Nice shotAha, that was the thing, we actually rested a bit at 50-50 and left for the TH at about 4:30 p.m. You were probably on the section from Horse Camp heading towards 50-50 / Helen while we descended on the snow as far as it went towards Horse Camp. Check out the last picture in this thread which is one of Bob heading down the snow gulch route. We could hear some people above us on the regular trail and who knows, that could have included you guys. Sigh....
