Shirley signing the summit register on the "summit" of Acker Rock. G. Orton refers to this point (top of Black Magic route) as the "summit" even though the lookout structure seems to be higher (October 1, 2004).

HB Air Marshall?

Perhaps in a recent gear review you were thinking of the HB Air Marshall as a more effective skinny rope belay rappel device.
