Somebody alwayshas to be the little dot! Thank God for all of
those increasingly rare people who break trail!

Re: Somebody alwaysThank you Larry.
That was a few, okay several, years ago that I could take the lead in breaking trails. I don't jump at the chance anymore,
I would have to be drafted.

Great shot Marc!I tried to climb Morrison in June of 2000. I got shut down on the east slope with no ice axe while staddling a 35 degree snow covered arete. Freezing fingers and major fresh air on boths sides brought me to my senses. I glissaded down and went for McGee Mtn. as a consolation.

Re: Great shot Marc!Thank you so much Noondueler.
I am surprised you remembe the dates of your climbs. If you ask me what I did last month, I would not remember. I am so bad with dates. You have gift that I wish I had.
The climb got pretty scary for us as well, but the reason for our failure was something that would hate going into.
Happy climbing,
Marc

Re: It says it all.Thank you so much phxphotog. I am afraid the credit for this photo should go to my friend Steve who is not in the photo himself. But, judging by your collection, you have some of the most amazing B&W pix of the Sierras yourself.
Thank you for the visit, the comment and your votes.
Happy climbing,
Marc

Re: Beautiful LightingThank you so much Mark. My friend Steve took this photo of Dick and I hiking up the hanging valley. He used a tiny pocket camera, but he knows how to pick the time and what to do.
Thanks for the visit Mark.

Re: (O:I couldn't have said it better.
I knew you were a doctor and a scientist, and now I know that you are also a poet.
Yes, as another poet put it "all we are is dust in the wind."
This photo was taken by a friend and climbing partner of mine, but I don't mind taking credit for it.
You have a nice weekend too Roberto,
Buon fine settimana 2,
Grazie e Ciao,
Marc
