Good TR Dennis. This is the route I had planned to take when I took a look at that area back in June. There was still too much snow beyond the CG so I couldn't go up beyond it. Your information will be very helpful to me when I go after this one.
This hike definatley kicked my butt!
We should rename this route "kick butt trail". It isn't fun and it seems to be 100 degrees every day on this trail.
We were post-holing once we crossed the ridge. The Meadows were clear, but the final push, post-holing again. Guess that's what we get for going mid-May! (We even were going to take snowshoes, but decided against it)
