Via Dry Creek Trail from Alpine
Michael and I summitted this peak via the Dry Creek Trail from Alpine. We logged 14.0 miles round trip gaining 5500' vertical. I loved this peak and the views it offers.

Via Deer Creek/Dry Canyon trail
#1 A long time ago with Dave Armitage. I don't think even he knew that this peak had a name. #2 10-23-24 W/Lana. On a beautiful but cool October morning we pushed ourselves up to this challenging little summit. Caution: if you don't like millions of large and medium sized boulders on a trail you might not want to use the one we used! We are older and it took us a little more than 6 hours to reach the summit. At the end of the hike our GPS showed a total of 5,500' of elevation gain and 14 miles r/t. This peak is #88 in my personal 80in80 quest.

The views were second-to-none!
Having climbed all the Wasatch 11ers with 200 or more feet of prominence years ago, I was surprised to learn about Silver Lake Peak. Because of learning about it, I decided to climb all the points in the Wasatch over 11 thousand feet with 100 feet or more of prominence.
I didn't expect much from this peak, but, WOW, was I pleasantly surprised. The views were second-to-none. From the summit I could see Heber, Walsburg, Alpine, Lehi, Utah Lake, Timp, Nebo, Provo Peak, Dromedary, Lone Peak, White Baldy, etc.
Very much an overlooked peak, but very much worthwhile to climb. I loved it, so much I created a SummitPost page for it!
