Re: Winter's here...

Winter is here...at least in the Wasatch Range. This picture was taken with a new telephoto lens and this was the 1st ski photo shoot I have been able to try with the new camera. Can't wait to the pictures we get later on this year. Happy Trails and many thanks Marc.

Yeah, but..

I don't completely understand how Troy could
prevent himself from hitting the sides of the
couloir.

Would this be rated as advanced?

What is the "width" of the couloir at its
narrowest point? About 35 feet ??

Re: Yeah, but..

Ever wonder how Troy does it Larry? He is a pinball wizard or lets just say, "he sure plays a good pinball." As for if this one is advanced....yes, especailly this time of year. The most narrow section is about 12 feet wide and there is a nice hidden rock when you come flying out of the crux. None the less it is a fantastic couloir and come to think about it...it is the only skiable couloir in the Wasatch right now. Happy Trails brother of the south.

Re: Yeah, but..

Please wait. I'm not finished.

I am not worthy to ask him how he does it,
but I will except your brilliant explanation.

What about the couloir on Deseret Peak ?
My younger brother said he skied it one time,
but he never produced any pictures as proof..

Did you say "Pinball Lizard ???"

"Ain't got no distractions,
Can't hear no buzzers and bells;
Don't see no lights a flashin,'
Plays by sense of smell.
Always gets the replay,
Never seen him fall ..."

Re: Yeah, but..

I have had that couloir in the plans for almost a year now...but we always end up doing something else (this year Great Basin Naitonal Park). I used to windsurf out at Lake Grantsville (below Deseret Peak) and that couloir always had my attension. Maybe I will finally do it this year (for its snowing there as I type this). Happy Trails brother of the south and many thanks
