Dayhike
Short hike up the resort's dirt roads across the three bumps and down cross-country and through the campground. Enjoyed this one more than I expected to.

Windy on Top!
Quick afternoon hike. Still a bit of snow on the top. Very windy but the views were great!

Slide Mountain Hike
Parked at the Mt. Rose summit parking lot, crossed the street and followed the dirt road until it ended...then scrambled up to the top. About 1000 feet of elevation gain and great views at top with all the micro-wave equipment. Fairly easy hike.

West Slope
Parked at the summit lot, crossed the highway, and met snow right off the bat. With just a few small patches of road or earth at the beginning and at the top, the route was snow covered. Followed the contours of the road and then headed straight up for the most part. Snowshoes would have made the going much more effective. The view from the top, while getting my overdose of micro waves, was outstanding.

nice spring jaunt
Amy and I had a nice trip up Slide Mountain from the highway trailhead. The ski area had just closed, so this made for a quiet mid-week outing. Amazing views of the Tahoe Basin and Washoe Valley.

Wind Driven Sleet
Decided to hike up here after visiting point 9081. Mt. Rose Ski Area was closed due to wind. Around an 80-90mph wind was driving sleet horizontally across the summit.

Snow shoe, not the ski lift
I was about to make a joke about climbing into the ski lift and going to the top several times, but I just remembered that I have actually snowshoed to the top once.

Windy
It was windy on the summit, and tough to meander through the rocks and electrical equipment to the actual summit.
