Approached from the north, climbing Peak 9937 first. An easy route if you've got a 4x4. Even without one you could still park at 8000' on NF-010 and hike the jeep trail along the ridge.

Nasty Weather
Originally I intended to do North King this day, but it was snowing over in the Lost River area when I woke up, so I headed east until reaching Fairfield where it had hailed about six inches the night before. The skies were clear and the roads weren't bad so I managed to summit pretty easily. Once atop the mountain the sky quickly clouded over, and it went from completely blue skies to completely overcast and raining in a couple hours.

SW Ridge
Longer approach due to snow blocking the road, but we made it up with no issues.
Glad I had waypoints for the turns in the road to get to the TH. Nice climb, heavy sagebrush steppe vegetation. Recommend crossing unnamed stream (just east of Ear Creek) high upstream by first gaining the ridge to its west - a trail will take you up to a good crossing point; then traversing the south face upward to gain the summit ridge. 3 hrs up includ breaks, 1 hr down. Scared up 2 elk. Great food in Fairfield at The Cliff bar and grill!

From the Southwest
Climbed from the SW with the SW TR author. The colors were starting to turn in the vegetation so it was exceptionally beautiful.

4 Peak Traverse
Mike F. And I did the Soldier Traverse from West to East today. It made for a very loooong but awesome day! The ridge is surprisingly rugged and alpine. There was still quite a bit of snow hanging around the high country still.

Cra Route Finding
Took a bit of work to get the Jeep to a good spot on the south side to start.

From southwest
This really is a fun peak and can be done from several aspects. Smoky day (of course) but could still see the Pioneers and Castle Peak. Like Splattski said, lots of hunters about "scouting" from four wheelers. And watching hikers on the summit.
Fairfield until I was 17. We were the outcasts that enjoyed climbing and riding our 10 speeds places they weren't meant to go. I love this mountain. The area is coming around as far as trails and access goes. I would love to live back in Fairfield, but as they say, "Great place to live if you can make money there!"
