Snow Traverse at Ridge Junction

If you use the north ridge for your ascent, you have to complete this traverse at the head of the drainage that divides the north and northwest ridges on Pinnacle Butte NE. Staying on the upper edge of the snow, I found it hard-packed and easy walking when I climbed this route. I late summer or a dry year, this traverse could be across steep, loose dirt and scree.
