Repeatedly...
This is my most recent time (up Miners' Track, down PYG Track). I first climbed Snowdon in 1976.

Windy and Crowded
Very crowded, had to park 2 miles down the road. Climbed the peak in 2 hours, 2 hours descent. Way too many people. High winds on the ridge.

Numerous ascents
First time must have been summer 1970 via Miners track. Most enjoyable via Grib Goch Ridge & on to complete the Snowdon Horseshoe.

Up Miners, Down Pyg - Spectacular Views
A fun & rewarding walk if your OK with the huge crowds. I did a few detours & scrambled up a few fairly steep rock faces to avoid the people, but would not recommend that in bad weather. The view from the top is breathtakingly beautiful.

Great weekend away
Ascended via the Crib Goch/Horseshoe route then descent along the Miner's Track. Due to the weather we never saw the peak till we were stood right on it. Great day out!
Possibly the most famous mountain in the UK, with it's train ferrying thousands of visitors to the summit every year. Personally I would not go up in the summer as there are so many tourists on it.

Crowdest mountian ever
Climbed guiding a group of 11 (not everyone got to the top). Mist around 900 meters, then rain and a lot of wind at the final ridge. Started at 13:30. Back to the parking of the Peny Pass at 18:15.
Have summited Snowdon about 17 times and it always feels like coming home. Yes it's crowded, yes it's commercial in the summer, but there is such variety. Crib Goch has to be the best route - as long as the weather's good! Do it in the winter, in the snow with the cafe and train closed, for a different perspective.

Miner's & Crib Goch
Summited twice, once from the miner's track and once part of the Snowdon horseshoe from Crib Goch. Good mountain, bit busy on the top. Lets dismantle the railway :-)

Snowdon via Crib Goch
Reached the Snowdon Peak via the scramble up and along Crib Goch. After another scramble upon finishing the ridge, reached the point where Miners, Pyg, Llanberis and Crib Goch routes converge. From there, incredibly busy up to the summit.

Beautiful mountain
Climbed via Ladies Gully, an enjoyable Scottish III in perfect nick. The day started beautiful but weather turned halfway up the climb, so no summit views and a descent via the pig track instead of the intended half-horseshoe.
I went two times up Snowdon - first up Miner's Track and then down via Y Llywedd, then up via Crib Gogh (an interesting way up, but should not be underestimated the way people do there!! I would rate it as a I, possibly even I+ route. For me, after what I had done just a week before in the Ă–tztal Alps, it was child's play, but I was not unaware of the fact that there are no security aids of any kind on that route - no ropes, no bars, nothing.) and down Pyg Track. Had a lovely three evenings and nights at the Pen-Y-Pass Inn!

Great climbI recall climbing this in the early 90s and it was a lot of fun. The weather was damp and very foggy with practically no one on the trail except us.

I know it gets "busy" but I do love it....Have done a few differemt ascents now, but my two absolute favourites have to be the Snowdon HorseShoe, and the Snowdon Ranger path.
