Snowdrift Peak

Snowdrift Peak

Snowdrift Peak, named for the snowfield on its northeast side, stands off to the west from Bighorn Flats. The Never Summer Range dominates the background. Photo taken on the approach to Knobtop, early July 2008.

Beautiful photo

I'd like to use another of your great photos for the primary image. My photos from 1974 just aren't hacking it. Thanks for the contribution.

Re: Beautiful photo

Thanks!

Looks like we'll be back in Estes in early August. Should I expect Snowdrift to be snow-free by then?

Re: Beautiful photo

Lucky. I would think it would be snow-free except for some minor patches at the base of the east face. I don't know what kind of snowpack the Colorado Rockies have this year.
