"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

Very IcyHiked sometime in November, should have at the very least had micro spikes and poles. Was visiting from other side of the country and brought neither. Cool tower, but was fogged in so no views. Extremely icy, but made it in and out ok.

Finally MAde TimeSnowy Mt was one I planned on hiking for years and years...finally made it! Mellow hike in and then the trail got progressively steeper, but before I knew it I was at a nice lookout just below the summit. I took a trail across the clearing and found another neat lookout over a cliff. Retraced my steps and took the correct trail to the fire tower. Nice 3 1/2 hour hike up and back with 25 minutes on the summit. The tower, as well as the lookouts, had great views. Beautiful fall day, glad I finally made time to get up here.

Foggy ViewNice climb but it was a typical fogged in summit day on the top. No view but certainly a neat summit to explore the various ledges and fire tower.

Lots O MudClimbed this with my bf this past July when we were on vacation in the Adirondacks. Perfect day to go with clear views in all directions. I had a pretty bad slip on a log during the trek up (probably due to all the mud on my shoes) and got a nice big bruise that turned many colors before finally healing. Worth the trip though! Had a great lunch at a lookout point just below the peak.

Snowy MountainClimbed via the trail from Route 30. Execrable for much of the morning – a breeze along the summit provided some relief. Spectacular views, especially to the north; most of the major high peaks were visible.

Amazing Views of the High Peaks! My sister and I had a great time hiking this peak on a beautiful summer day with lots of visibility. The view of the High Peaks from the top of the fire tower was majestic and the overlook above Indian lake was gorgeous.
We did it at a fairly quick pace with a round trip time of just under 4 hours which included some time for pictures and snacks at the top. It's a shame that this mountain doesn't get as much recognition as the 46'ers because it definitely deserves it!

Route Climbed: Main trail Date Climbed: September 05, 2005Drove up from Johnsonville to tackle this one. Great mountain with some challenge towards the top. Excellent views of the rest of the Adirondacks. Stayed on top for about an hour checking out all the viewpoints with some Saranac "trail mix" and oatmeal cookies.
