Dayhike
Dayhike from Jack London. Pretty nice shaded hike, very boring & flat summit area. The views are nice in each direction, could not see the Sierra.

Pleasant Hike
We used the trail from North Sonoma Mountains Regional Park. Great views on this one! (Too bad I had forgotten to charge the batteries for my camera. Doh!)

In the footsteps of Jack London
I did this one in a pouring rain storm. The park staff weren't quite sure I was sane.

Easy going
Sonoma Mountain HP in the AM and Hood Mountain in the PM - each roughly 7 miles, 2000 feet of gain and 3 hours. Good day! Someone cut a hole in the barbed wire fence at the park boundary so its easy to get to the summit. Giant rock cairn is easy to spot on flat summit. Trip report is HERE

Didn't bother...
...to hop the fence and find the register on private land. I figure the boundary was close enough.

Watch for altitude issues
The redwoods are great... but watch out for the altitude as you approach the summit here... If anyone in your group experiences any signs (nausea, vomiting, dizziness, pins and needles, general malaise, headache, etc...) head down immediately. Either that or lay off the wineries.

Nice Day
Beautiful day, sunny, clear, good view of Mt st. Helena. Defenitely will hike again
through some private prop on the way up. The summit is a big old field of grass. It was back around '95

2 hours 10 mintues R/T
This hike is in our backyard, we live in Sonoma. Got to trail later than we(wife) planned and the State Park closes at 5 so we had to hustle. This hike (9.5 miles) can be done is less than 3 hours pretty easily, it is only the last several hundred yards that are a little steep. 70 degree temp., clear, very beautiful trail but the summit is boring. Great view of Mount St. Helena

Nice redwoods in a beautiful park. The last quarter mile to the summit through foxtails sucks. Trip Report
