Tanya, it looks okay to me. Always room for improvement, of course.
Suggestions:
1) The topo is a bit off. Perhaps tweak it just a touch.
2) If not doing a separate route page, perhaps provide a more detailed description of the route (such as what face of the mountain it's on, the YDS rating of the route, what/where the crux might be found, any objective hazards, etc.)
3) Umm, that's about it, I suppose.
Am I looking at the Zion page setup wrong? I don't see anywhere to add routes? Everyone has done the routes as Mountain and Rocks? I agree all the trip reports should be routes though, but unless I am looking wrong that particular page is not set up that way?
The text seems to say, North of the road, but the Topozone location is in a gully to the South?
It is a great start and I am really excited to see someone as as knowlegeable about the area as yourself adding beta to SP ... but the technical issues such as getting the lat / lon right are important and I'm sure you'll get there in a nick of time, Bo!
Thank you! I plugged in new coords onto the TR and It still puts the peak out into La La Land? I made a jpeg map from TOPO and put it onto the TR. Hope this helps. What datum does the mapping use on this website? Maybe I'm set up differently? I'm using NAD83/WGS84!?
It looks right now, and yes, your little snapshot of a topo us very helpful too. The Topozone link of SP does not specify a datum and therefore it defaults to NAD27 but it isn't far away anyway (but maybe we should ask the SP code gurus to add a datum field to the QUERY_STRING of the topozone link!). The Google Maps link does not specify datum either and I don't think one can do it with google maps, but I am under impression that Google's relying on WGS84.

Re: Mountain and Rock? When you say the topo is off...do you mean the coordinates?

Re: Mountain and Rock?Yep. I'm saying "topo", meaning the "topozone" link reflects the wrong coordinates.
Perhaps try:
37.2273
-112.9060

Re: Mountain and Rock?I changed the 112 to a negative and it seems to work now! Thanks for the advise Scott.

Re: Mountain and Rock?Scotts advise to change the 112 to a negative 112 seems to work Courtney. Give it a try and let me know if it is better now?

Re: Mountain and Rock? Thanks! Tanya has done a lot for me on trying to make it correct. I'm slowly getting the gist of it I think?

Re: Mountain and Rock?Yes. Hang in there, Bo. It takes time.
As for the coordinates, I'm still showing them off a bit. Did you plug in the ones I posted to you?

Re: Mountain and Rock?I plugged in the coordinates that you said. It seems to be pretty close now, Thanks

Re: Where is it on the map? Thanks. I will still be improving on it in the near future as I write up the report for my site and I will add more photos.
