South Peak
Climbed with Moosilauke via the Glencliff Trail from Glencliff. A short and satisfying diversion off the main trail to Moosilauke. Great views of the Connecticut River Valley and of the surrounding lakes and mountains.

Side trip from main peak
I took the short trail to the South Peak. I actually had a nice view - the clouds were generally slightly above this altitude. One blew through as I was standing at the summit - very fun to be in it as it moves through!

What a beautiful day. We climbed Moosilauke first via Gorge Brook Trail being in and out of the clouds with some awesome views. This was a typical windy Whites day. Gusts felt like they were near 70 or 80mph, maybe stronger. Once we summited Moosilauke the clouds cleared out and we had great views. Summitted South Peak on the way down via Carriage Road on one of my most memorable days of being in the mountains. Summitted with my amazing girlfriend Nicolle Marie. Wonderful day!

I've done this in all seasonsVery windy and cold above the treeline. It was a beautiful day, just after a snow and ice storm so the trees were like glass in the sun.
