The south ridge of Jewel Mountain gets almost no traffic, and this mountain goat seemed pretty surprised to have a visitor.

That's a big goat

Check out the size of that goat...does it charge you if you get too close...just like that Big Horn Sheep...run right at you...

I've always assumed not, until I read about that crazy goat in Olympic National Park that killed the hiker and guarded his carcass! Hopefully that was just a Washington State thing...
