South Ridge of the Porcupines

South Ridge of the Porcupines

just minutes away from the summit of South Porcupine (12,729). ZeeJay approaching the second mountain of a 5-peaks day, on a long ridge traverse from Stone (12,707), the pointy peak to the right. On the left, above Doll Lake, rises flat-topped Bluebell Mountain (12,260), the highest point of the previous day of our backpack. 9/8/08 11:20 am

Re: beautiful!

Thanks, it's a very different country than your Michigan Porcupines, but so beautiful too, in these last days before the snow blankets it for the season
