More than I expected
The info given for the route was excellent. On Brace Mtn I had to do a little searching for the trail but once I hit the red marked Mt Frissell trail the tri corner marker for MA/NY/CT, high pt marker for CT, and summit for Mt Frissell were all within about a half mile of distance. Ninety five minutes from the trailhead to the summit one way. I did the hike after it poured the day before and the steep parts of the trail were treacherous at best! Great hike though.
Have hiked different sections of this trail. The views west of the Catskill Mtns are great. All the dwarf trees along the ridgline are very unique and interesting.

Two Steep Routes Taken...
In the early morning, I took both the South Taconic Trail and the Standard Route. I wanted to see the views of Round Mountain and Bear Mountain. These trails are much steeper than even I expected, but the scenery and viewpoints make it worth the trip.
This was the fourth of seven HPs (plus Washington, D.C.) I would reach in two days' time. HP #28 for me.

Sweet
Nice little climb, and I agree, it was surprisingly steep, but totally well worth it.
