The Timp Traverse
https://youtu.be/iGfVdysEyzI Check out our Timp traverse video on you tube at peaks in the bag for a full trip report. South timp was not to bad or that long, but sliding down the glacier in August was the worst, we ended up just walking down it, the snow was so hard.
Great hike with a friend! We are getting into hiking shape and our super consistent slow and steady pace took us 11 hrs car to car. The changes in terrain are incredible and the wildflowers were totally insane. We had two moose sightings and heard a band of coyotes. Dogs were barking (aka feet!) for the last couple of gentle miles but overall we felt great at our pace. Enjoy!

South Timp
After the main summit, Brandon and I headed over to South Timp. We both enjoyed this lesser climbed peak. We descended the snow field using trash bags. There were wildflowers surrounding Emerald Lake, as well as mountain goats. It was a great day.

Glacier Saddle Route
Finally finished the ranked Wasatch 11ers with an ascent of South Timpanogos from the saddle above the glacier/snowfield. This overshadowed peak seemed impressive in its own right, with some nice summit views. David and I had the whole mountain to ourselves all the way from the main summit to the south summit back down the glacier and back to the lower waterfalls on the Aspen Grove trail, which is unheard of on a summer day in July. Awesome day filled with waterfalls, wildflowers, mountain goats, and a fun snow descent. See "Aspen Grove Semi-Loop" trip report for details.
Climbed via Razorback Ridge and down Timp Glacier in the early 1990's.

Adventurous day
Started from the summit th of the alpine loop and went up the ridge from horse flat. Summitted Roberts horn, then went down to emerald lake, up the glacier chute to the saddle, summitted south timp, then across to the actual timp summit, down timpanookee and back through salamander up to my car. Great 16 mile, 6.5 hour day.

Fun Day
Climbed to the summit of South Timpanogos from the Aspen Grove trailhead. Took longer than expected due to snow or lack thereof in the glacier area. Beautiful views from the top over to Timp and the massive thunderstorms over the Uintas.
edit: 07/19/15- Climbed South Summit again, not because it was so fun but because I missed yet another shady low-prominence 11'er: Southeast Timpanogos (11608ish feet), luckily I climbed it and I've officially completed all the 11'ers on the Timpanogos Massif! The trip up to the top was worth it because the scenery combined with low cumulus clouds was perfect!

Very serene on top. Just a short prance up from the glacier. Mountain Goat country, also :)

Razorback Ridge/Finished Wasatch 11ers!
Finished all of the Wasatch 11ers finally with a spectacular hike up Razorback Ridge. If it is in condition then highly consider taking these what appears to be seldom used route. This was the cusp of fall colors and a fine way to finish a long project. Feel so lucky to have spent so many great hours in these mountains. Their proximity has definitely helped shape my life.

South Timp
8/16/2015 As part of an epic day with Ben Stokes. Starting at the Aspen Grove TH we first summitted Elk Point. From there we followed the Razorback Ridge to the "Shoulder" and on up to the South Summit. From the South Summit of Timp we continued heading along the ridge to Timp's SE summit before ultimately traversing around the cockscomb ridge that frames the massive Big Provo Cirque. We worked our way down through some fairly major cliff bands to the top of Sundance Ski Resort and followed service roads down to the base of Sundance.
7/21/2013 Via the Timpooneke trailhead. Traversed over from the main summit to the South summit. From South Timp I traversed back to the main summit and onto Bomber Peak before dropping back down into Timpanogos basin.

N-S traverse
Starting at Timpanookee, up North Timp, then along the ridge. This peak is close to the Timp glacier descent, and has a nice view of Timpanogos; I'm surprised not many people seem to visit it. Trip report.

South Timp
We started at Aspen Grove and it was a busy day on the trail. We implemented a run rule for whenever we encountered anyone and that meant we ran the entire way to Emerald Lake. From there we headed up the glacier and I usually HATE snow but this was well packed and easy to climb. My wimpiness kicked in after the snow during the finally push to the top. I am not a fan of feeling exposed. It was warmer at the top than I expected and of course the view was a great reward. We saw a mountain goat chilling in the snow, very camouflaged. It was fun to have a few guys join us on the run down, that doesnt usually happen. :)
Ran up from Aspen Grove to Emerald Lake and then we scrambled up the glacier and piles of rocks up to the saddle (the little trench on the right is much easier than the "trail"). Took about 25 minutes from Saddle to summit moving easy. Summit was gorgeous and weather was great. Came back down and saw a mountain goat less than 5 meters away just sitting on the glacier---never moved! Ran back down to the car, great day.

Various route including Aspen Grove and Razorback Ridge
This was either my second or third time at Second Summit. Hiked it with Dave & Christine. The Razorback Ridge route is by far the hairiest way to get to the top, hands down. I didn't realize that Second Summit had its own page. :) #4 6-15-13 Im Schnee und mit Steigeisen zum Sattel, dann spaeter die Hauptspitze mit wunderbarer Gesellschaft und zwei begeisterten Hunden! #5 05-21-20 W/ Yadahzoemtn. Much steep snow after the first two hours. 6+36 up. Winds and clouds.

Nice hike
Started at the Aspen Grove TH. First climbed East Peak (10791), then went over to Roberts Horn, then on to Timp, then to South Timp (11722), back over Timp and back to TH. Perfect fall day.
Made the out and back traverse over from Timp's main summit. Surprisingly good trail all the way to the saddle at the top of Timp Glacier then some steep class 2 to the summit.
Starting from the Aspen Grove trailhead, I hiked up the Timp Glacier to the South summit. From there, I traversed over Timpanogos, Bomber Peak, and North Timpanogos. Car to car time was about 8 hours, 20 minutes.
