Southwards view from Punta Rossa della Grivola summit 3630m: Herbetet 3778m in the foreground, followed by Becca di Montandaynè 3833m, Piccolo Paradiso 3923m and Gran Paradiso 4061m. Then the chain turns left (east), including Cresta Gastaldi 3894m and Punta di Ceresole 3777m.
From here one can easily identify the East Ridge, the NNW arête, and the sweeping West Ridge; on the other hand the NNE arête, descending towards Colli dell'Herbetet, is hardly discernible because of its frontral position and the spectacular South Ridge isn't visible at all.
