80 foot high frozen waterfall greets hikers at the head of St. Louis Canyon in Illnois' Starved Rock State Park. This park is an Illinois anomaly - more than a dozen beautiful sandstone canyons along the Illinois River, two hours southwest of Chicago. Winter is the most dramatic time to visit.
