The standard route up the southeast face of Grinnell Point closely parallels this massive snow chute for the final 1,000 vertical feet; from this vantage point, the summit is still several hundred feet away. Azure Lake Josephine sits nearly 2,000 feet below, with Allen Mountain towering behind.
