Trail
Postholed in the snow from start to finish. Absolutely beautiful views from the top, though. Definitely the best summit of the three that day - Cuyamaca & Middle too.

Great hike
The boulders at the end are really fun. Found a snow igloo on the summit. Very well built!

Took the trail
Did this after Cuyamaca. An impressive looking peak...
HPS peak #5 of 7 for the day. Took Jon Barbour on his first peak-o-rama. Not sure if he'll be doing it again!

Snow igloo?
Straight foreword hike. Very short but well worth it. Found a snow igloo in between a few boulders. Just enough room for to people to escape the wind when need arises.

Main trail and Sierra wall
Good times. My first outdoor rock wall. Topped rope off some railing and did the 5.6 and 5.7, and there were some crazy flying red ants there at the apex. I had to take a picture to show people it was real!

My First So Cal Hike
My wife and I wanted to start hiking in San DIego to get outside and get healthy. This trek has led us to do several since then and also come back to Stonewall Peak several times. It is pretty popular in the park and the trails gets crowded on weekends. But during the week in late fall early spring...it gives you a peaceful view of the park

Stonewall Trail
So we just decided to do this mid-afternoon on Sunday, nice and quick hike up and down. Took us about 2 hours round trip. Fun for an afternoon hike.

Climbed...
from the Mesa turnout, 2 miles south of Paso Picacho, with my girlfriend and 3 month old daughter. Took the Cold Stream trail to the Stonewall Peak trail and up to the summit. Saw quite a few people on the trail. It was a blast!! Muddy, snowy and cloudy but overall a fun climb.

Cheesy Hike....
Our mission was to climb a wall but just HAD to summit via the trail first; if it hadn't been for the ice on the stairs near the top, it would have been a totally dull walk thru the snow. We did manage to climb on the lower tier, a very gritty route with creepy bolts and a couple of roofs. Dave had to dodge a few episodes of rocketing ice missiles while on lead....pretty fun stuff. :)

Tag...Someone Else Is it! : P
Fun winter hike out with Deb to the top. We then scrambled (and bushwhacked!) down the NW shoulder to the Lower Tier to climb 'Fire Starter' (5.8), a variation of 'Forest Fire' (5.8). Old 1/4" Leeper bolts, poor pro, chossy sections of fire damaged rock, runout......what more fun can a climber have!

Nice looking peak
Hiked up this one in the dark with an HPS group. This was my 100th HPS peak.
This is a great hike, but can get a little crowded at times. Pick a day when it's raining, and you can be pretty sure you will have the trail to yourself. Either way, it is a San Diego County must do.

Biked the trails around Cuymaca on Sat, camped at Paso Picacho, then TR'd the .6, .7, and .9 on the Sierra Wall on Stonewall on Sun. Fun stuff. Lots of fire damage.
