Did Cayacuma in the morning with the wife and figured since I’m here I’ll get this one done. Quick up and down on a hot day. Views were great in every direction.

Fun hike with family
Hot day but beautiful! Our 4-year-old made it all the way to the top himself and our 18-month-old enjoyed his backpack accommodations ;-)

Easy and fun!
Due to control burn Cuyamaca and Middle peak were closed, we opted out to only Stonewall peak. Easy and nice hike, beautiful views of surrounding area.

A Fun Hike!
Very cool looking peak. Did this right after hiking up Cuyamaca Peak as part of my training for Adventure 16's 3-Peak Challenge (Mount San Antonio, Mount San Gorgonio, Mount San Jacinto in 3 days, 41 total miles). Beautiful views from the summit under hot but clear weather. If you do this hike, be sure to avoid the poodle-dog bushes which will give you a very nasty rash. Google it for a picture.

with Cuyamaca, Japacha, Middle
Trail is well maintained. Stairs and railing make it family friendly instead of scramble at the top. The flag was missing from the monument. 360 views from the summit were nice.

Fall Colors
Nice little hike right off of the highway. We caught some fall colors and worked off the extra calories from our Julian apple pie.

6 Peaks Dayhike
This peak might have been cool without the lame railings and flag on the summit. I did this as part of a loop which also included Little Stonewall, Arrowmakers Ridge, Japacha, Cuyamaca, and Middle Peak. This is definitely one of the more boring areas I've explored in southern California.

Great fall hike
This was my first hike in Southern California and I loved it, especially since the vegetation is so different from back home. I'd recommend this to any newcomer to the area

Quick hike
Quick hike while we were in the area for Thanksgiving. It was my first attempt at a hike after breaking my toe a week earlier. It was a little uncomfortable but a good test nonetheless :)

Nice Clean & Solid Granite
I used to climb Stonewall back in the 80's when I lived in San Diego. Did most of the routes in the old guidebook. Loved the rock there and it was a great place to go when it was too hot everywhere else and I didn't feel like driving to Tahquitz. Frito Bandito & Bean Dip were definitely favorites.

hiked up with my parents. Not as nice as it used to be before the fire, since the chaparral pea is kinda reclaiming the trail.

Thunderstorm Suspense
Took shelter under a boulder while a rain and hail storm passed through the area. Not a single soul on the trail on a weekday. Beautiful 360 views at the peak.

Burnt Pines
Sure was crowded at the top on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The trail should be called the Burnt Pines trail after all the burned out trees.
