Radical Slam
10 Peaks of Longs Peak (Nesotaieux’s Ten Tadasanas, Radical Slam Deluxe, “Sick Concoction”) — 17 hours and 10,000 ft of elevation gain. Yesterday, I completed the most demanding physical and mental challenge I’ve ever attempted. Started at 2:30am up the Iron Gates route. Climbed Meeker Ridge, then traversed the amazingly terrifying Knife Edge (I’m so scared of heights, especially 100% fatal ones) to Meeker. I continued on my lonesome to Southeast Longs, and then I got dangerously off route trying to take the Loft to Longs. I miraculously made it with sections of Class 4 (definitely 5 when I got off route) down climbing and met up with the Homestretch portion of the Keyhole. Bagged Longs Peak, then on to Pagoda. Again, off route on fatal ledges before I wasted valuable time back tracking. Found the right route and made it to Pagoda with only a brief Class 4 exciting moment. Traversed below the Trough to the Ledges, passed through the Keyhole, then meandered to Storm. Found some water to filter at the base (thank goodness) before bagging Mount Lady Washington. On to the easy stuff with Battle Mountain and Pine Ridge, then a heartbreaking hour-long bushwack to connect to the Estes Cone Trail. Climbed Estes Cone, cried for a while, and then finished the last 3 miles to the truck before doing 10 pushups (90 less the Gerry Roach demands) and finishing the most epic adventure of my life.

Grand Slam - Longs and its 4 buttress peaks
The proper summit is much further along the ridge away from the Keyhole than it appears at first glance.

bonus peak
Started 6 am, hit the summit of Longs at 10 am, stayed for an hour, bagged Storms Peak and Battle Mtn on the way down. Back at the car after 9.5 hours. This trip surely makes it into my favorite top 10 hikes!
Hike with the TEA. Also hiked Mount Lady Washington and the Keyhole. First time above treeline!

Rocks!
After Longs, scrambled up the rocks from below the Keyhole. Several rocks want to move so extra care was required. Then crossed the Boulder Field to Mt Lady Washington.

Hiked all three from the Longs Peak Trailhead. The views of Glacier Gorge from the Storm Peak ridge were incredible.

Long's Peak TH
Once I got to the boulderfield, I just headed straight up. It seemed longer than it looked from there. I was the only one on the summit but if you looked down you could see the multitudes heading up toward the Keyhole Route for Long's Peak. Headed for Mt Lady Washington for more.

I was pleasently surprised with the ridge scrambling, exposure and warm temperatures! Watching some hard core people descend the Cable Route on Longs Peak made for an entertaining day.

Fun rocks!
After Mt. Lady Washington E Ridge and recon of the North Face of Longs and Chasm View. Scrambling was fun, able to make it as interesing as I liked. Descended down SE?-straight towards the crappers in the boulder field. Some of those large boulders are loose, I got to teeter-todder on one boulder the size of my dining room! 8:45am-3:15pm - 6.5 hrs.

Boulderfield
Clear skies and moderately cold below Granite pass. At the Boulderfield and ascending Storm the wind was absolutely horrible. Bitterly cold with frequent gusts and snow-devils. Reached the summit, immediately dropped to my kness and hands and went right back down. You couldn't stand on the top. Snow was so hard cramptons would have had an negligable effect. 8 hour day.
