Stranded near the mountain
Skewered the gas tank in the car on the way to do a slot canyon trip near the border. It was late so we grabbed our packs and hiked up to the highest of the foothills and found an awesome camp spot with Cougar tracks in the area. Woke up and bagged the peak which included some class 4+ and a tough crack which we bailed on and went around the left side. Ran the final 15 minutes from the false summit to the true summit and then descended the back (east-southeast) side which was MUCH faster and much easier but wasn't the cool, dicey, somewhat scary and beautiful climb that the Southwest side was. Pretty fun stuff.
