Sunrise view of the Minarets from Lake Ediza. Everyone who has camped here gets this shot.
I was fascinated by the glaciers around here. The ones on the Minarets are quite large. In fact, the glaciers in the Ritter Range come lower (10,800', according to Geology of the Sierra Nevada, by Mary Hill) than any others in the Sierras. No surprise that Mammoth gets a lot of snow...
