Ted BrasketI met Ted on another climb in the Egan range this same year (2000). His girlfriend, Jeanette, also in her 70s at the time, was with him. Unfortunately, they both recently passed away. But what an amazing climbing legacy they had in Nevada and (I hear) in Arizona.

Re: Ted BrasketYes, sadly Ted passed away in 2013 in Prescott Arizona. Two of my friends have been working on his journals to put together a listing of all the peaks he climbed for his family. He was quite a guy. I've seen his name in many registers across the west.

Re: Ted Brasketthank you, Dean. That is great that you are compiling that information for Ted's family.

trail registeractually, the answer to question I am seeking (what was the date of my climb and did I see marmots) is probably in that notebook, as I am sure I would have written something when I climbed the peak in the early 2000s. So, tantalizingly close!

Re: trail registerUnfortunately I only took pictures of a few pages and generally of pages that my friends had signed. I looked through the pics I had and didn't see your name since most of the pages were of 2009 and later. : (
