Talked my wine-tasting team into hiking Table Rock before our day in Napa. Rewarded by great views of morning fog down in the valley. Stop by this nice little hike if you can.

Combo with Mt. St. Helena
Did this first from the RLS trailhead. Fun hiking, not like the fire road up Mt St Helena. Lots of interesting rock artistry along the way!
I've been there three times - November 2001, October 2005 and September 2006. I'd like to return, and explore the area more. I don't recall if it had an obvious high point.
Decided to do something different from Mt. St. Helena on my way to Lake County. Arriving in Calistoga the Palisades were all socked in. But after I gassed up and drove across Napa Valley and up to the trailhead pass it had all cleared up.

Hike from Hwy 29
Hiked in from Highway 29. Stopped on the north slope of Table Rock as the person I was with wanted to head back. Will have to go back in the future to get on the top. Really neat place.
Hit the summit many times on the way to the Palisades. Haven't climbed the face, but I have scrambled to the top from the flank.

Table Rock Trail
This was the first nice day after a cold storm passed through. The trees were still loaded with snow and nearby Mt St. Helena looked like it should be in the high sierra. I took the wrong trail on the way to Table Rock and found myself on the north side of the Palasades. Surprisingly, I saw some bear tracks in the snow; a momma and cub. The bushwacking was perfect to stumble upon them, so I turned around. Overall, a very nice and easy hike in the snow.
