"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

Table & Peekamoose Mtns from DenningThe Bouton Memorial Lean-to is in mint condition. A spring - which would serve the needs of the occupants - is not located as near the lean-to as I expected. Still relatively close though - a bit steep between the spring and the shelter.
Coincidentally I ran into (crossed paths) the venerable old man himself (Jim Bouton) along the ridgeline between Table and Peekamoose. Perhaps he and his companion were checking in on the lean-to

Cold Snowy Fall HikeGreat hike on a cold snowy October day. Aside from the end, this isn't a very steep hike from Peekamoose.

Table and PeekamooseSome of the nicest views in the Catskills from Peekamoose summit. I was pressed for time and rushed a bit, round trip in 4hrs with a couple short breaks at the viewpoints. Table left much to be desired but the hike across the saddle and up Peekamoose made everything worthwhile. A nice, easy hike for anyone interested.

solitudeAfter the drenching the day before there wasn't anyone on the trail. Two hours and ten minutes to hit the summit area from a starting point beyond Peekamoose. Nice steady, easy hike.

TableClimbed with Peekamoose via the trail from County Road 42. Better views from Table than from Peekamoose. Overall, a pleasant but unspectacular hike.

4 Peak LoopClimbed Table, nice views on ascent, and Peekamoose from Denning TH. Bushwacked over to Lone/Rocky, then down to the Neversink River. One of the nicest areas of the Catskill Mountains.

With PeekamooseFive or so hours to climb both. Enjoyable with nice views just before the Peekamoose summit. Turned around before the lean-to.

backpack to peak bagBackpacked over this one. Come to think of it I have backpacked over most of these peaks in the Catskills. Just a gluton for punishment I guess.

Long Day Hike in the SnowBack packed this in the winter. Very fun, but very cold. Had a blast with a bunch of my friends while doing it. Saw a giant snow bunny!

Bushwhack Range DayhikeThis was a fun one to do in the winter. A group of us dayhiked the "Bushwhack Range" with a car drop, hitting eight peaks: Peekamoose, Table, Lone, Rocky, Balsam Cap, Friday, Cornell and Wittenberg.
