View of Tacana from the village of Sibinal. From here you can start your hike and climb over the ridge, down the other side, follow a dirt road to the base of the volcano and begin the actual climb. The other choice is to take a four-wheel drive around the ridge, drive down the same road you would have hiked down and park at the base of the volcano. The first option takes at least 10 hours. The second option takes about 4 hours.
