Talus Slope on Backside Route
Another pic from our descent down the Backside Route. This is a steep talus field (the pic doesn't do it justice.) Once we reached it, we knew we were out of danger, but it was an arduous climb down from here. Most of the rock was small and loose, and my legs slid out from underneath me about every 10 seconds, causing me to plant my hand on sharp rocks and barrel cacti numerous times to arrest my fall.
