Wow! What a cool looking mountain. I love the southern Appalachians... growing up in Ohio our annual summer vacation was always to The Smokies so the sourthern Apps will always be special to me. Nice page!
It would be really useful to folks less familiar with this area if the pages for Calloway & MacRae Peaks were attached to Grandfather Mountain as children. (...since they are sub-peaks of GF Mtn.)
Great page. Nice to see you put up anecdotal information from the 1700's. It's hard to believe that this was considered the largest mountain in North America.
